The estimated salary for this position is $84,419 - $121,219 per annum, based on qualifications and experience.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Operations Manager to oversee the development and supervision of day-to-day activities in our assigned service delivery area. This role will coordinate major and minor construction projects through effective project management and maintenance scheduling techniques. The ideal candidate will ensure the smooth functioning and code compliance of designated facilities, including hospital equipment and systems.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage and supervise the activities of designated maintenance personnel and external contractors.
  • Liaise with colleagues in the industry to share information and establish/review benchmarks for productivity.
  • Provide professional expertise to other healthcare organizations and negotiate with contractors, regulatory bodies, manufacturers, and suppliers.

In alignment with IH's Occupational Health & Safety Program, employees shall adhere to all Occupational Health and Safety policies and procedures at all times and attend all required training. Employees are responsible for reporting any identified hazards, unsafe conditions, or incidents to their manager or supervisor immediately.

  • Ensure the effective maintenance and operation of buildings, building systems, grounds, equipment, and hardware by utilizing efficient planning and scheduling.
  • Lead, supervise, and performance manage designated staff and be accountable for the area's operational planning as well as resource allocation and utilization.
  • Participate in the management of grievances and labour relations matters by responding to 1st and 2nd step grievances, consulting with Human Resources personnel and/or the Manager as required.
