Job Summary

The Director of Access and Patient Flow Operations is responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction to our patient access and flow operations. This includes developing and implementing policies, procedures, and initiatives to improve patient flow, reduce wait times, and enhance the overall patient experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient flow, reduce wait times, and enhance the patient experience
  • Provide leadership and direction to the patient access and flow operations team
  • Collaborate with clinical and operational stakeholders to develop and implement policies, procedures, and initiatives to improve patient flow
  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics to measure the success of patient flow initiatives
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff to ensure a positive and supportive patient experience
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of patient flow operations
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A bachelor's degree in a health-related field, plus a master's degree in healthcare administration or a related field
  • Seven to ten years of clinical operations management experience, including program leadership experience in a complex healthcare environment
  • Experience with pre-hospital medical services, inter-facility patient transfer systems, and accreditation processes
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a matrix management structure and collaborate with diverse stakeholders
