Senior Director, Treasury and Payment Solutions Expert

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Director to lead our Treasury and Payment Solutions team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving the achievement of cash management sales and service objectives and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

• Review customer pipelines and action plans to provide cash management sales coaching, guidance, and suggestions for improvements that maximize the effectiveness of cash management sales penetration strategies.
• Address escalated issues related to client & relationship management.
• Deliver exceptional customer service that builds trust through expertise, responsive service, and support.
• Develop and maintain long-term, profitable relationships and expand our share of wallet with a portfolio.
• Lead execution of Bank and third-party partners using approved processes that support the delivery of the desired customer experience.
• Gather and assess competitive and market opportunities to identify strengths, opportunities, weaknesses, and threats relative to cash management.
• Make recommendations to senior leaders on strategy and new initiatives based on an in-depth understanding of the business/group.
• Act as a subject matter expert on relevant regulations and policies.
• May network with industry contacts to gain competitive insights and best practices.
• Develop and manage banking relationships and plans for prospective clients.
• Advise on sales strategy based on a deep understanding of the market, relevant industry verticals, market competitors, client needs, and business growth opportunities.
• Develop the business case by identifying needs, analyzing potential options, and assessing expected return on investment.
• Recommend business priorities, advise on resource requirements, and develop a roadmap for strategic execution.
• Help determine business priorities and best sequence for execution of business/group strategy.
• Conduct independent analysis and assessment to resolve strategic issues.
• Support the execution of strategic initiatives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
• Define business requirements for analytics and reporting to ensure data insights inform business decision-making.
• Provide oversight, monitoring, and reporting specific to assigned business group for regulatory remediation.
• Analyze financial and related data to determine client needs for proper structuring of the Bank's products and services that meet client needs.
• Break down strategic problems and analyze data and information to provide insights and recommendations.
• Monitor and track performance and address any issues.
• Lead change management programs of varying scope and type, including readiness assessments, planning, stakeholder management, execution, evaluation, and sustainment of initiatives.
• Collaborate across BMO to develop communications strategies and ensure consistency of messaging to positively influence or change behavior.
• Plan, execute, and fulfill cash management product solutions sales and services activities in alignment with standards.
• Provide product and process knowledge to stakeholders (e.g., product information, pricing, implementation timeframes, requirements, etc.).
• Identify risks and take appropriate actions to mitigate impacts and maintain operational integrity.
• Stay abreast of client needs, industry trends, and best practices, and the regulatory environment as it relates to the products and services provided.
• Operate at a group/enterprise-wide level and serve as a specialist resource to senior leaders and stakeholders.
• Apply expertise and think creatively to address unique or ambiguous situations and find solutions to problems that can be complex and non-routine.
• Implement changes in response to shifting trends.
• Broaden work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.

• Typically 7+ years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of cash flow and working capital analysis.
• Knowledge of cash management products and services – Expert.
• Knowledge of business investment and lending products – Expert.
• Knowledge of Personal and Commercial banking products and services - Expert.
• Seasoned professional with a combination of education, experience, and industry knowledge.
• Verbal & written communication skills - In-depth / Expert.

The salary range for this position is $XXXXX - $XXXXX, with a pay type of Salaried. Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group's expected target for the first year in this position.
