About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Small Business Advisor to join our team in Whitehorse, Yukon.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the small business market, including financial statements, risk management policies, and legal and security documentation.

You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of high-value and complex small business owner relationships, creating a strong presence within the local business community, and providing comprehensive advice to enable clients to build successful businesses.

As a key member of our team, you will partner with fellow advisors to create a customer-centric environment and engage with new and existing clients to build strong, ongoing relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of high-value and complex small business owner relationships
  • Create a strong presence within the local business community
  • Provide comprehensive advice to enable clients to build successful businesses
  • Partner with fellow advisors to create a customer-centric environment
  • Engage with new and existing clients to build strong, ongoing relationships

Requirements:

  • Results-oriented attitude and sound knowledge of the small business market
  • Excellent business development techniques and conversance with small business legal structures and life cycles
  • Good organizational skills and flexibility to adapt to a constantly changing environment
  • Strong relationship builder and communicator with a valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Education in a business-related discipline or equivalent work experience as a small business owner
