About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Small Business Advisor to join our team in Whitehorse, Yukon. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of high-value and complex small business owner relationships, achieving retention and other negotiated goals while meeting Scotiabank's Service Standard.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with small business owners, providing comprehensive advice and guidance to help them build successful businesses.
  • Partner with fellow advisors to create a customer-centric environment, driving business growth and retention.
  • Proactively engage with new and existing clients, building strong, ongoing relationships and providing expert advice on financial products and services.
  • Stay up-to-date with market trends and competitor offerings, ensuring you are well-equipped to provide innovative solutions to our clients.
Requirements
  • Results-oriented attitude and sound knowledge of the small business market, including financial statements, risk management policies, and legal and security documentation.
  • Excellent business development techniques and strong communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Good organizational skills and flexibility to adapt to a constantly changing environment.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
