Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Co-op Student to join our team as a Project Coordinator. The successful candidate will assist the Project Manager with obtaining information and approvals for processing shop drawings and submittals, disseminate construction information to appropriate parties, and assist in the preparation of contract items lists.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Project Manager with obtaining information and approvals for processing shop drawings and submittals.
- Disseminate construction information to appropriate parties.
- Assist in the preparation of contract items lists.
- Monitor field variations and keep the Project Superintendent informed of any changes.
- Ensure that subcontractors understand and adhere to the job schedule.
- Ensure subcontractor compliance with Turner's safety program, safety codes and regulations.
Requirements
- Working toward a four-year degree in Engineering or Architecture or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of building construction.
- Capable of identifying problems and recommending corrective actions.
- Computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office suite programs.
- Basic understanding of scheduling programs, preferred.
- Basic ability to interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedule.
- Familiar with lean methodology.
- Strong ability to demonstrate leadership and interpersonal skills and teamwork with the ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing.
