Job Title: Bridges Co-op Student

Hatch is seeking a talented and motivated Bridges Co-op Student to join our Highways & Bridges group in Vancouver, BC. As a co-op student, you will have the opportunity to work on complex projects around the world, gain experience relevant to your field of study, and collaborate with diverse teams locally and globally.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform assignments requiring application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to carry out engineering tasks for various infrastructure projects.
  • Coordinate with other technicians and related disciplines to produce design deliverables.
  • Compile design drawings and prepare design submissions and other technical documents.
  • Provide assistance to Senior Engineers and Designers as needed.
Requirements:
  • Currently enrolled in a Civil Engineering co-op program.
  • Relevant courses: Hydraulics, Fluid Mechanics, Project Management, Infrastructure Design/Planning, Construction Engineering.
  • In good academic standing.
  • Interested in Civil Engineering - bridges and miscellaneous structures as a career.
  • Extracurricular involvement is considered an asset.
  • Experience with municipal infrastructure, utility coordination, geotechnical field work, and construction is an asset.
