Job Title: Co-op Career Educator

The University of British Columbia is seeking a Co-op Career Educator to join our team. As a key member of the Arts Co-op Program, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating the undergraduate co-op programs in the Faculty of Arts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement strategies to recruit students for the co-op program
  • Provide advising to students during search terms and help prepare them for work terms
  • Monitor student work terms and address any workplace issues that students encounter
  • Evaluate and analyze student search and work term success each term
  • Collaborate with other co-op professionals at UBC and throughout the province
  • Administer the day-to-day operations of the co-op program
Requirements:
  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline
  • Minimum of four years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with career education and curriculum development
  • Expertise in equity, diversity, and inclusion
  • Ability to effectively use Microsoft Office at an advanced level
  • Fluency in a second language and experience with international work programs
