Job Opportunity

We are seeking Educational Assistants in Spruce Grove, AB for St. Joseph Catholic School (Pre-K to Grade 4), St. Marguerite Catholic School (K-4) and St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic School (Grades 5-8), and in Stony Plain, AB for St. John Paul II Catholic School (Pre-K to Grade 8) for the upcoming school year.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting students with diverse needs, utilizing strength-based, trauma-informed practices, and effectively dealing with crisis situations. A diploma in child/youth care or Educational Assistant Certificate is an asset.

Requirements
  • Experience working with students with diverse needs
  • Able to effectively deal with crisis situations; physically able to lift and/or protect
  • Supporting Individuals through Valued Attachments training
  • Mental Health First Aid or equivalent
  • Current Resume
  • Reference Letters
  • Priest Reference Letter
  • Criminal/Vulnerable Sector Check (dated within six months)
  • Intervention Record Check (dated within six months)
