Job Opportunity

We are seeking highly motivated and dedicated Educational Assistants to join our team at St. Joseph Catholic School, St. Marguerite Catholic School, St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic School, and St. John Paul II Catholic School. As an Educational Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with diverse needs and providing a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support students with diverse needs, including those with special needs and English language learners
  • Assist teachers with lesson planning, implementation, and assessment
  • Provide individualized support to students, including academic and social support
  • Participate in crisis situations and provide physical support as needed
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans
Requirements
  • Experience working with students with diverse needs
  • Ability to effectively deal with crisis situations and provide physical support as needed
  • Ability to lift and/or protect students as required
  • Mental Health First Aid or equivalent training
  • Diploma in child/youth care or Educational Assistant Certificate
