Bilingual Credit and Collections Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled Bilingual Credit and Collections Specialist to join our team at Kohl & Frisch Ltd. As a key member of our Finance department, you will be responsible for managing all accounts across Canada, encompassing collections, reconciliation, cash receipts, and allocation.
Main Responsibilities- Identify and contact delinquent accounts based on their terms of sale and follow up promptly for payment commitments.
- Handle all requests for documentation and conduct research to resolve customer inquiries.
- Manage the allocation of payments for assigned accounts and review and release held orders within approval limits.
- Provide superior customer service to internal and external customers and communicate significant changes in account status to sales representatives.
- Compile and submit information about problem accounts to the Manager/Supervisor and work collaboratively with the sales team to accelerate cash inflows and reduce credit risk.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible collection experience in a high-volume department.
- University or college degree (or equivalent experience).
- Fluency in French and English is mandatory with good speaking and business writing skills in both languages.
- Excellent organization, reconciliation, and analytical skills, with the ability to work autonomously and possess effective and persuasive collection and negotiation skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and develop a high level of confidence and trust with critical contacts.
- Intermediate skills in MS Excel and Word.
