Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Emergency Response Team Member to join our team at Retirement Concepts. As a key member of our support staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the comfort and safety of our tenants.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond promptly to calls from tenants, utilizing a pager and call bells as necessary, to provide assistance and resolve incidents in a timely manner.
  • Clean and maintain tenant rooms, floors, stairways, walls, carpets, and walkways, using equipment such as vacuums, carpet washers, and auto scrubbers.
  • Clean and sanitize furniture, woodwork, shelving, windows, fixtures, blinds, and basins, adhering to established procedures and protocols.
  • Strip and make beds, remove soiled laundry, pick up and deliver clean laundry, hang and/or remove drapes, and tidy areas such as cupboards, lockers, and closets.
  • Assist with moving supplies, furniture, and equipment manually or using carts, dollies, or trolleys.
  • Collect garbage and recycling and remove it from the building, cleaning waste containers as needed.
  • Adhere to facility security policies and procedures by closing windows and doors.
  • Clear snow from walkways and building entrances.
  • Maintain standards of sanitization and safety by following established policies and procedures, reporting unsafe or faulty equipment to supervisors.
  • Participate in departmental and unit meetings, providing input as required.
Requirements:
  • Grade 10 or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • All successful applicants must pass a vulnerable sector Criminal Record Check, in accordance with Provincial guidelines.
Salary:

$35,000 - $45,000 per year, depending on experience.
