We are a dynamic restaurant in the heart of Gastown, Vancouver. Our team is passionate about delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests.
Salary InformationThe salary for this position is estimated to be between $55,000 and $65,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Chef to lead our culinary team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in menu planning, kitchen operations, and staff supervision. They will also have excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire our team members.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain high standards of quality and presentation in all dishes served
- Supervise and train junior chefs and cooks to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively
- Develop and implement new menu ideas and recipes that align with our restaurant's concept and brand
- Manage kitchen inventory and supplies, including ordering and receiving stock
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as food safety guidelines
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 2 years' experience as a chef or kitchen supervisor in a similar establishment
- Proven track record of success in menu planning, kitchen operations, and staff supervision
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members
- Diploma or certificate in culinary arts from a recognized institution
- Safe Food Handling certification
