The Role:

We're seeking an experienced Senior Cinematic Lighting Artist to join our team.

As a key member of our art department, you'll contribute to the construction of the lighting pipeline within the Unreal engine.

You'll collaborate with lighting and technical artists in multiple locations to elevate the composition of game environments.

Partnering with animation and cinematics teams, you'll light in-game and pre-rendered cinematics.

You'll create shot composition and rendering of key art and marketing shots when required.

Collaborating with Cinematic and VFX teams, you'll solve challenging technical lighting problems.

Troubleshooting issues in Blueprint and finding elegant solutions will be part of your responsibilities.

You'll support art best practices and standards within the team.

Contributing to a positive, proactive, and agile work environment that encourages innovation and collaboration is essential.

You'll closely work with the Lighting Lead to understand and uphold the visual style and direction for lighting.

Maintaining efficient lighting pipelines and workflows is crucial.

Researching and sharing new techniques and technologies related to lighting will help you continuously develop and improve.

You'll work closely with other groups within the art department to achieve cohesive and visually stunning results.

Receiving and applying constructive feedback as part of our iterative process effectively while maintaining a positive attitude is vital.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of real-time lighting experience in 3D AAA games, with an ability to generate final lighting and rendering.
  • Experience as a Senior Lighting Artist on one AAA title.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Art or Digital Media, or equivalent work experience.
  • Demonstrated experience working with modern FPS engines and modern art pipelines.
  • Must be comfortable taking on responsibility for the development of complex lighting solutions and workflows.
  • Knowledge of UE Sequencer.
  • A strong eye for color and composition.
  • Production rig setup and character lighting experience.
  • Working knowledge of Lumen and Blueprint.
  • Experience developing high-quality lighting under runtime constraints.
  • Experience working with a team of artists towards a common goal.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Able to discuss, support, and advocate for your opinions while being receptive to differing viewpoints.
  • Highly detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and able to embrace change for a fast-growing organization.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks, set priorities, and creatively solve challenging problems.
  • Uncompromising ethics and unwavering integrity.

Salary Range:$130,000 - $160,000 per year
