Lead Cinematic Visionary for Immersive Storytelling

Cloud Chamber is a renowned game development studio, dedicated to crafting unique and engaging experiences. We're currently working on the next installment of the iconic BioShock franchise.
About the RoleWe're seeking a skilled Principal Cinematic Designer to join our team. As a key member, you'll be responsible for creating immersive and dramatic narrative moments that blend seamlessly into captivating gameplay scenarios.
Key Responsibilities:- Create systemic, in-game scripted cinematic sequences that elevate the gaming experience.
- Collaborate closely with the Narrative, Design, and Art teams to visually communicate key story elements.
- Set up actor staging and cameras to bring the narrative to life.
- Maintain pipelines, workflows, and technical requirements to ensure smooth project execution.
- Use your creativity to diagnose and solve problems that arise during production.
- Serve as a bridge between disciplines, effectively communicating the creative vision and rallying the team to implement it.
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- 7+ years of experience in games as a cinematic designer or a combination of games and film.
- A studied eye for on-screen composition of action moments.
- Precision and expertise in camera positioning and movements.
- Experience with timing triggering events and interactive branching cinematic sequences.
- The ability to interpret storyboards and add your own creative flourishes.
- Familiarity with Unreal Sequencer and lighting for dramatic effect.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with various disciplines.
- Deep understanding of Conversation, Dialogue, and Cinematic Systems.
- A flexible and collaborative mindset, with a willingness to adapt to changing project needs.
