Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Theatre Lighting Specialist to join our team at the Monument-National theatre. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of events, activities, and performances according to the schedule set by the Technical Direction.

  • Participate in ongoing changes and implement innovative projects to enhance the lighting experience.
  • Contribute to maintaining open and honest exchanges that ensure cohesion and effective teamwork among staff members.
  • Be responsible for the inventory, periodic, and annual maintenance of equipment in their department, as well as its storage throughout the building.
  • Support the technical director in coordinating the lighting technician department, both pedagogically and for internal and external rentals.
  • Provide technical support to the St-Denis pavilion under the supervision of the Monument National technical director.
  • Respect and apply health and safety regulations at all times.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. A college diploma in show production, theatrical production, or equivalent work experience.
  2. Three years of experience in a similar position.
  3. Excellent skills with new technologies, including Qlab software and Autocad.
  4. Educational mindset and good interpersonal skills to guide and share knowledge with students.
  5. Proficiency in French and English (both oral and written).
