About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Nurse Educator to join our Medicine team at Delta Hospital located in Delta, B.C.

Key Responsibilities
  • Determine education priorities that meet clinical and learner needs in collaboration with the Manager/Director.
  • Develop and revise educational programs based on clinical evidence, policy, literature, and education theory.
  • Create supportive and interprofessional learning environments utilizing education theory and building strong professional relationships with learners.
  • Deliver learner-centered education to individual or groups of staff and patients/clients/residents/families through methods such as formal presentations, mentoring, coaching, facilitating groups, demonstrating, providing lectures, role modeling, and providing point-of-care education and on-the-spot teaching.
  • Evaluate education program effectiveness by measuring outcomes, determining whether clinical objectives have been achieved, and assessing whether learning has occurred that results in the demonstration of best practices.
Requirements
  • Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Three years of recent related clinical experience in the designated clinical area, including one year of education and/or leadership experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Valid BC Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle for business-related purposes, as required.
