We are seeking a skilled Building Envelope Drafting Specialist to join our team at Entuitive in Vancouver.

About the Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to work on a variety of projects in BC and across our offices, assisting in maintaining a high level of service for the Building Envelope practice. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with other service groups to ensure consistent, consolidated, and leading-edge service delivery.

The primary responsibility of this position is drawing production in Revit, with occasional use of AutoCAD related to building envelope projects. You will collaborate with the project team to develop building envelope drawings, primarily for repair, renewal, and rehabilitation projects for existing buildings. We seek a self-motivated individual with leadership skills and a desire to work in a collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Building envelope drafting, primarily using Revit with occasional AutoCAD
  • Work in conjunction with the Project Principal, Project Engineer, and other members of the design team to complete projects of varying size and complexity from start to finish
  • Develop and maintain building envelope drawing production standards and resources to improve drafting consistency and efficiency
  • Coordinate the varying responsibilities associated with managing and producing drawings for building envelope projects
  • Ensure drawings comply with relevant codes, standards, and requirements from clients and Authorities Having Jurisdiction
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • An applicable degree or diploma in CAD, architectural, or engineering technology
  • At least 2 years of experience in building envelope or architectural drafting
  • Proficiency in Revit and a working knowledge of AutoCAD
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Bluebeam or similar PDF programs
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work with people at all levels, including project stakeholders and clients

The estimated salary for this position is between $52,000 to $58,000 annually, based on experience, qualifications, location, and education. This range reflects the British Columbia Pay Transparency Law and assumes that the successful candidate will be located in British Columbia or perform the position from there.
