Registered Psychiatric Nurse

At Shared Health, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Psychiatric Nurse/Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide professional nursing services to patients with complex and unpredictable health needs.
Responsibilities:- Provide independent nursing services, including administration of prescribed medical treatments.
- Take a leadership role within the healthcare team and facilitate coordination of patient care and discharge.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Maintain and provide proof of active registration with the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Manitoba (CRPNM) or the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM).
- Graduate of an approved Registered Psychiatric Nursing program or approved Registered Nursing program required.
- Recent, related mental health experience preferred.
- Ability to prioritize care for an individual patient or group of patients.
- Ability to respond to a variety of simultaneous demands.
- Ability to maintain concentration with frequent interruptions.
- Ability to function in a demanding and stressful environment.
- Knowledge of College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba Standards of Practice for Registered Nurses.
- Canadian Nurses Association Code of Ethics for Registered Nurses.
- Scope of practice as documented in the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA).
- Regional/Facility/Unit policies, procedures, protocols, and guidelines.
