Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba.

Responsibilities
  • Provide professional nursing services for patients with complex and unpredictable health needs.
  • Administer interventions and treatments as required.
  • Lead the healthcare team and facilitate coordination of patient care and discharge.
  • Maintain and provide proof of active registration with the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Manitoba or the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved Registered Psychiatric Nursing program or approved Registered Nursing program.
  • Knowledge of College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses/Registered Nurses of Manitoba Standards of Practice for Registered Psychiatric/Registered Nurses.
  • Knowledge of applicable policies, procedures, protocols, and guidelines.
  • Personal Health Information Act (PHIA), Protection of Persons in Care Act, Mental Health Act, Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS), Principles of Routine Practices (Universal Precautions) and other legislated acts.
  • Roles and responsibilities of members of the healthcare team.
  • Principles of delegation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Recent, related mental health experience.
  • Competency in an Aboriginal language and/or knowledge in Aboriginal customs, traditions and values.
Physical Requirements
  • Moderate to heavy physical effort required.
