Job Summary

We are seeking a Junior Maintenance Planner to join our team at our window manufacturing facility in London, Ontario. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating corrective, preventive, predictive, and proactive maintenance activities to ensure increased reliability and production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and schedule maintenance activities to minimize downtime and maximize production efficiency
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful maintenance activities
  • Track maintenance activities and verify data accuracy in our Automated Maintenance Management System (AMMS)
  • Provide maintenance supervision and support to hourly maintenance staff
  • Develop and maintain Preventative Maintenance (PM) program standards
  • Assist in the development of department standard operating procedures
  • Evaluate areas of opportunity to reduce costs and improve operational efficiency
  • Support capital projects, new equipment installation, and plant maintenance initiatives as needed
  • Ensure planned work is completed within budget
  • Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs or installations
  • Maintain maintenance stockroom according to 5S principles
  • Control and optimize spare parts ordering, stocking, issuing, and inventorying

Requirements

  • Previous experience in maintenance planning/scheduling in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities/projects to ensure successful plant operation
  • Continuous improvement mindset and knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Principles
  • Experience working with vendors, identifying, sourcing machine parts and electrical components
  • Functional skills with Excel, Word, and AutoCAD
