As part of Maple Leaf Food’s London Poultry Maintenance team, the individual will be responsible for maintaining and servicing equipment and building infrastructure used in the facility for daily production. Furthermore, they will ensure safe plant operations and a safe working environment for all employees

**Snapshot of a Day-in-the-Life**:

- Be deeply involved in progressive, proactive maintenance routines, with a philosophy deeply rooted in a predictive approach in a 24 hour/day operation.
- Troubleshooting and execution of identified corrective maintenance requirements.
- Understand current code regulations, read drawings and specifications and determine the layout of plumbing systems, water supply networks and wastewater drainage systems.
- Assist in planning, organizing of work activities (drawing interpretation, parts preparation) and provide feedback to planners to improve current system of work.
- Install, maintain, and repair minor steam/condensate devices such as steam traps, humidifiers, safety valves, pressure gauges, thermometers, sight glasses, etc.
- Maintain and repair plant piping systems (comp air, steam, water, etc).
- Maintenance to sanitation, sinks, toilets, roof drains, floor drains and any drainage piping.
- Perform assigned work orders and account for inventory and labour on a computerized maintenance management system (SAP).
- Ensure all job-related operations are in compliance with GMPs, HACCP, WHMIS and Health & Safety requirements.
- Understand and adhere to all plant Food/Health and Safety Polices.

**What You’ll Bring**:

- Red Seal Certification (306A Licensed Plumber), with proven field experience (3 years or greater preferred).
- Ontario G1 gas fitter license would be considered an asset.
- Backflow Certified (OWWA) would be considered an asset.
- Must be legally entitled to work for Maple Leaf Foods in Canada.
- Self-motivated and passionate individual who has a high sense of urgency, thrives with a wide variety of work and can deliver consistent results on multiple priorities
- Ability to execute planned and scheduled daily tasks with mínimal supervision.
- Ability to work in a team-based environment.
- Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of the Maintenance Reliability process (predictive and preventative maintenance) and predictive technologies.
- Basic knowledge of industrial safety, food safety and environmental regulations with absolute commitment to safety.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Basic computer skills
- Must have a full complement of personal/professional hand tools.
- Availability for weekend overtime as production/maintenance demands require.
- Ability to work various shifts
