We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Information Analyst to join our team at the Government of Nova Scotia. As a key member of our information management team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing information and data strategies that support our business objectives.

About the Role

The Senior Information Analyst will work closely with our IT systems strategy team to integrate information and data plans, ensuring that our IT systems are aligned with our business needs. You will identify information requirements, including data collection, integrity, and reporting, and develop strategies to meet these needs. Your expertise in data governance and stewardship will be essential in ensuring that our data is accurate, reliable, and secure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement information and data strategies that support business objectives
  • Work with IT systems strategy team to integrate information and data plans
  • Identify information requirements, including data collection, integrity, and reporting
  • Develop strategies to meet information requirements
  • Ensure data accuracy, reliability, and security through data governance and stewardship
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to communicate information and data needs
  • Support the development of reports and dashboards using Microsoft Power BI
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as information management or computer science
  • At least 6 years of experience in information management or a related field
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing information and data strategies
  • Experience with data governance and stewardship
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
