Facilities Support Services Manager

At Deer Lodge Centre, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Support Services Lead to join our team. This is a key leadership role that will be responsible for providing strategic direction and oversight to our facilities support services team.
Main Responsibilities:- Provide leadership and guidance to a team of facilities support services staff, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and resources to deliver high-quality services.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the effective delivery of facilities support services, including property and equipment maintenance, environmental services, security, and medical device reprocessing.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including health service delivery organizations, capital planning and clinical engineering functions, and other external partners.
- Provide incident control, business continuity planning, and coordinate specific location plans to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and standards, including those related to health and safety, environmental sustainability, and accessibility.
- 3 years of progressive supervisory experience in facilities maintenance and support services, preferably in a health services environment.
- 3 years of experience building and leading a high-performing team.
- 2 years of experience supervising multiple trades and various support services employees in a unionized environment.
- 2 years of experience specifically dealing with the coordination of support functions such as maintenance logistics, technical, safety, and fire safety training.
- A post-secondary degree in a related discipline such as facilities management, business, engineering from an accredited educational institution.
- Facilities management certificate/diploma or certification, the Lean Six Sigma certification, and project management or change management certifications are assets.
- Must be able to work safely in diverse physical environments (construction sites, operating hospitals, office buildings, etc.) with frequent meetings at multiple locations within a defined service area requiring a valid Manitoba driver's license and use of a personal motor vehicle, and to lift and carry items of up to approximately 15-23 kg.
- Must be able to accompany staff to work at heights, within small spaces, and to climb, reach, kneel, and squat to examine facilities and equipment.
