Compensation

The estimated salary for this role is $124,500 - $167,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive Total Rewards Program, including bonuses, flexible benefits, and stock options.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Systems Analyst to join our team in Toronto. As a Senior Application Support Analyst, you will be responsible for the maintenance and support of multiple Windows and Linux applications in Finance IT. You will partner across IT, assigned business lines, and 3rd-party vendors to analyze issues and technical system needs to resolve business issues and provide solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide L3 production support by continuously monitoring the health and security posture of the application and investigating, troubleshooting, and resolving reported incidents and compliance issues.
  • Contribute to and participate in walkthrough reviews of all technical specifications and programs.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with business and technology partners to help achieve operational efficiencies and satisfy business goals.
  • Collaborate effectively with development teams by identifying defects and opportunities for efficiencies through automation and enhancements.
  • Leverage automation, monitoring, and alerting tools to identify and resolve troublesome trends and problems.
  • Raise support tickets and work closely with vendors when additional support and learning are required for vendor-developed applications.
  • Facilitate small to large group meetings for problem-solving, decision-making, and task implementation. Resolve conflicts/issues and escalate as appropriate.
  • Provide direction, expertise, feedback, coaching, and development to build the capabilities of more junior staff.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in production support roles, supporting multiple applications.
  • 5+ years of experience in Linux and Windows platform, Win Server, SQL, MS SQL server, SSIS, Java, IIS, and PowerShell scripting.
  • Working knowledge of IT Standards, Methodologies, SDLC, & audit requirements.
  • Experience of on-call after-hours support.
  • Computer Science degree or equivalent.
