Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Dietetic Aide to join our team. As a Dietetic Aide, you will play a critical role in ensuring the success of our business and operations by preparing and serving food, nourishments, and supplements for therapeutic diets and enteral feedings. You will work collaboratively with our team to provide exceptional customer service and maintain a clean and safe food service environment.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve food, beverages, nourishments, supplements, and enteral feedings according to diet plans and menus.
  • Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed at all times.
  • Texturize foods, nourishments, and supplements according to client needs and international texturization standards.
  • Meet food preparation and serving deadlines.
  • Work within service schedules to have food ready on time for service.
  • Perform cleaning routines and maintain sanitation and cleanliness of all work areas and equipment.
  • Respond to kitchen phone calls and maintain documentation of all requests.
  • Manage and coordinate information needs, collect statistics and data to support quality services.
Requirements
  • Completion of Grade XII (or G.E.D.)
  • Valid Food Handlers Certification Level 1
  • Combination of 2015 hours of work experience in food preparation in an institutional setting and/or food service is preferred
  • Knowledge of therapeutic and texturized diets is preferred
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, with minimal supervision, and as part of a collaborative team. They will be expected to maintain a clean and safe food service environment, and to work safely in a physically demanding environment.
