About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Westlock Inn Ltd. O/A Westlock Inn & Conference Centre. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading our kitchen operations and ensuring that our guests receive exceptional dining experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Preparation: Develop and implement menus that showcase our culinary expertise and meet the tastes and preferences of our guests.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor our kitchen staff to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to deliver high-quality dishes.
  • Food Safety and Quality Control: Maintain the highest standards of food safety and quality control in our kitchen, ensuring that all dishes are prepared and presented to the highest standards.
  • Inventory Management: Manage our kitchen inventory, including ordering and receiving supplies, to ensure that we have the necessary ingredients and equipment to meet our culinary needs.
  • Cost Control: Monitor and control kitchen costs, including labor, inventory, and supplies, to ensure that we are operating within our budget.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Work Setting: Restaurant or similar establishment.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
  • Personal Suitability: Dependability, excellent oral communication, and team player.
