Job Description:

As a key member of the AGT Food and Ingredients team, this role plays a vital part in managing workflow to ensure timely and accurate payment processing.

The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage purchase contracts due for payment, ensuring approvals are applied and payments are distributed efficiently
  • Maintain effective communication with producers and staff to resolve issues promptly
  • Perform thorough verbal and written communication via phone, email, and in-person interactions
  • Accurately file, maintain, and distribute accounting documents, contracts, and reports
  • Prepare weekly reports on purchase contracts due for settlement
  • Verify all authorizations are complete prior to settling purchase contracts
  • Reconcile grain receipts to purchase contracts and identify any discrepancies
  • Reconcile regulatory and other deductions applicable to purchase contracts
  • Calculate and process payments based on settlement instructions
  • Investigate and resolve problems associated with settling purchase contracts for payment
  • Process cheques, wires, and EFT payments
  • Compile monthly reconciliation reports required for the accounting month-end close
  • Prepare regulatory reports
  • Provide backup coverage for front desk reception duties as needed
