Job Title: Psychiatric Assessment Nurse - Emergency Department

Providence Health Care is seeking a skilled Psychiatric Assessment Nurse to join its Emergency Department team. As a key member of the interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care, assess mental health needs, and develop effective treatment plans.

About the Role:
  • Assess patients' mental health needs and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Collaborate with emergency physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
  • Provide crisis intervention and stabilization services to patients in need
  • Participate in rounds and clinics to assess patient needs and develop care plans
  • Act as a patient advocate and communicate concerns to other team members
Requirements:
  • Registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant
  • Three years of recent related experience in clinical specialty
  • Ability to supervise and lead a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced emergency department environment
