Job Summary

The Government of Northwest Territories is seeking a skilled Financial Transaction Coordinator to join their team. As a key member of the finance department, this role will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of transaction processing in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System.

The successful candidate will provide seasoned advice to Accounting Clerks and process complex transactions, including unique and specialized transactions related to client department-specific program needs. Reconciliations of a more complex or time-sensitive nature will also be a key responsibility.

To be successful in this role, the candidate will require a strong understanding of financial and accounting principles, as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. The ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment is essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in ensuring the accuracy of transaction processing in the ERP System
  • Provide seasoned advice to Accounting Clerks and process complex transactions
  • Process unique and specialized transactions related to client department-specific program needs
  • Reconcile complex or time-sensitive transactions
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in finance and accounting, with a minimum of 2 years of directly related full-cycle financial transaction processing experience. A Business Administration Diploma or Degree is also preferred. The ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders is essential.
