We are seeking a highly skilled Compensation Services Manager to join our team at the National Research Council Canada. As a key member of our Human Resources Branch, you will be responsible for leading the Compensation office and developing a comprehensive program to deliver compensation services to all NRC staff.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR, with experience in creating, reviewing, and conducting quality control of business processes and procedures. You will also have experience managing and resolving complex client pay issues in a government context, as well as a strong understanding of laws, regulations, rules, and procedures related to pay and benefits in the Federal Public Service.

In this role, you will work closely with senior management to provide operational and strategic advice on compensation-related matters. You will also be responsible for researching, analyzing, and providing proposals for improvements to policies and processes with compensation impact.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Compensation office and develop a comprehensive program to deliver compensation services to all NRC staff.
  • Provide operational and strategic advice to senior management on compensation-related matters.
  • Research, analyze, and provide proposals for improvements to policies and processes with compensation impact.
  • Manage and resolve complex client pay issues in a government context.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders and partners.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in HR, with a focus on compensation and benefits.
  • Strong understanding of laws, regulations, rules, and procedures related to pay and benefits in the Federal Public Service.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
