About the Role

The Vocational Rehabilitation Consultant plays a vital role in empowering individuals with disabilities to achieve their career goals. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for providing employment counseling, conducting vocational assessments, and developing individualized action plans to support clients in their transition to employment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with clients to understand their career aspirations and develop personalized plans to achieve their goals
  • Conduct vocational assessments and labour market analyses to identify suitable career paths
  • Develop and implement individualized action plans, including job matching and placement services
  • Work with employers to promote our services and determine their needs

Requirements

  • Completed undergraduate degree in a relevant field from a recognized Canadian institution
  • Certification or eligibility in a relevant field, such as CCRC, CDMP, CCDP, CVRP, or RTWDM
  • Minimum three years' experience working in vocational rehabilitation, both public and private sectors

Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work with people with disabilities and barriers to employment
  • Interviewing skills and the ability to adjust communication style
  • Ability to assimilate financial, medical, psychological, vocational, and social details

Language

English and French are required.
