Operational Risk Manager

Aviva Canada is seeking an experienced Operational Risk and Control Specialist to join our Personal Insurance team. As a key member of our risk management function, you will play a critical role in identifying, assessing, and mitigating operational risks that could impact our business.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with Personal Insurance leadership to develop and implement effective risk management frameworks.
- Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations for control improvements.
- Partner with the business to create action plans to remediate red controls and monitor progress.
- Provide professional support and coordination of risk management activities.
- Develop and maintain risk-related KPIs and insights to track Personal Insurance risk profile.
- 3+ years of experience in the property/casualty insurance industry with a focus on risk management.
- Familiarity with OSFI guideline E-21 and other operational risk management standards.
- Prior auditing experience or experience in designing or assessing the effectiveness of processes, systems, and controls.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify key business risks.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
