Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of sales staff, including cashiers, grocery clerks, and retail salespersons.
  • Assign sales workers to duties, including opening and closing the store, and ensuring adequate staffing levels.
  • Hire and train new staff members, or arrange for their training.
  • Order merchandise and authorize returns.
  • Establish work schedules and ensure that staff are aware of their duties and responsibilities.
  • Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters.
  • Resolve customer complaints and supply shortages in a timely and professional manner.
  • Organize and maintain inventory, including receiving and stocking merchandise.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of cashiers, including handling cash and operating a point-of-sale system.
  • Manage payroll administration, including processing payrolls and ensuring compliance with employment laws.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a retail environment, or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Reliability and dependability.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
