Retail Store Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Store Supervisor to join our team at The UPS Store. As a Retail Store Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our retail store, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise Staff: Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff, including sales workers, designers, and other team members.
- Assign Duties: Assign sales workers to duties and tasks, ensuring that all responsibilities are met.
- Hire and Train: Hire and train new staff members, or arrange for training to be provided.
- Teach Courses: Teach interest or professional development courses to staff members.
- Authorize Payments: Authorize payments by cheque and manage cash handling.
- Plan Exhibits: Plan and develop permanent and temporary exhibits and displays for museum exhibitions, trade shows, conventions, and retail spaces.
- Order Merchandise: Order merchandise and manage inventory levels.
- Establish Schedules: Establish work schedules and manage staff rotas.
- Sell Merchandise: Sell merchandise and manage sales volumes.
- Prepare Reports: Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters.
- Resolve Issues: Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages.
- Organize Inventory: Organize and maintain inventory levels.
- Manage Cash: Manage cash handling and authorize payments.
- Conduct Reviews: Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to staff members.
- Education: College/CEGEP or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a retail or supervisory role.
- Language: Fluency in English.
- Security Clearance: Basic security clearance.
- Transportation: Own transportation or public transportation available.
- Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Physical Capabilities: Ability to handle heavy loads, manual dexterity, and attention to detail.
- Work Schedule: 37.5 hours per week.
- Accurate: Accurate and reliable in all tasks and responsibilities.
- Client Focus: Client-focused and customer-oriented.
- Efficient Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with staff and customers.
