Job Summary

The Taproom General Manager will be responsible for the daily operations of the taproom, including managing the taproom team, ensuring all tasks are completed on time and to the standards set by Ninepenny Brewing. The successful candidate will have excellent leadership skills, be able to motivate and empower the team, and have a strong understanding of the brewery's operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cash and Credit Management
    • Responsible for managing cash, credit, and tip transactions, including deposits, balances, and allocating tips to the team.
  • Scheduling and Team Management
    • Schedule taproom team members and manage shift schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels.
  • Inventory Management
    • Track and monitor inventory levels, reorder supplies as needed, and ensure proper stocking of products.
  • Food Preparation and Safety
    • Prepare and serve food in accordance with food safety standards.
  • Operations and Standards
    • Standardize operations based on best practices and industry standards.
  • Human Resources
    • Perform human resources functions and processes, including recruitment, training, and employee relations.
  • Customer Engagement and Events
    • Engage with customers, plan and schedule events, and ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Beer Knowledge and Draught Line Maintenance
    • Have a strong understanding of beer brands, flavors, profiles, and pairings.
    • Maintain and clean draught lines to ensure optimal beer quality.
  • Taproom Management
    • Manage day-to-day taproom activities, including ensuring adequate support, training, staffing levels, and tools to perform duties.
