Job Summary

Mary Brown's is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant General Manager to join our team. As a key member of our restaurant operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing and supporting the day-to-day operations of our restaurants to ensure profitability and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Restaurant Operations
    • Oversee and support the General Manager in ensuring the smooth operation of the restaurant
    • Direct and manage restaurant staff to deliver high-quality service and meet sales targets
    • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
  • Leadership and Development
    • Lead by example and demonstrate a strong commitment to customer service and quality
    • Develop and implement training programs to enhance staff skills and knowledge
    • Coach and mentor staff to achieve their full potential
  • Financial Management
    • Assist the General Manager in managing restaurant finances, including budgeting and forecasting
    • Monitor and control costs to ensure profitability
    • Identify opportunities for cost savings and implement initiatives to achieve them
  • Customer Service
    • Ensure that all customers receive exceptional service and have a positive experience
    • Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and timely manner
    • Monitor customer feedback and implement changes to improve service
Requirements
  • Education
    • Completion of a college diploma in hospitality management or a related field
  • Experience
    • At least 1 year of experience in a management role in the quick service or fast casual industry
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Strong leadership and communication skills
    • Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure
    • Excellent customer service skills
    • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions
  • Certifications and Licenses
    • Certified in a recognized safe food handling program
    • First aid and WHMIS certification
