Job Summary

We are seeking a Class 1 Equipment Hauling Driver to transport equipment on a low boy, haul hot asphalt oil, and operate Super B trailers. The role involves local and southern Alberta hauls, loading and unloading hot asphalt oil, and planning travel schedules and routes.

Responsibilities

  • Loading, chaining down, and transporting equipment on a low boy
  • Hauling hot asphalt oil and operating Super B trailers
  • Local and southern Alberta hauls
  • Loading and unloading hot asphalt oil
  • Planning travel schedules and routes
  • Receiving and relaying information to the central dispatcher
  • Overseeing vehicle condition and inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment

Qualifications

  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
  • Tractor Trailer; Flatbed experience

Working Conditions

  • Winter months: 10-hour days, Monday to Saturday
  • Summer months: variable hours, 12 days on, 2 days off
  • Local Operator Engineers union

Documentation Knowledge

  • Driver Logbook; Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip); Maintenance and repair reports; Trip reports; Accident or incident reports
