Lafarge Construction, a leading provider of construction solutions, is seeking a highly skilled Class 1 Equipment Hauling Driver to join our team in Edmonton. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for safely transporting heavy equipment and materials across various locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Loading, securing, and transporting heavy equipment on a low boy trailer
  • Hauling hot asphalt oil and Super B trailers
  • Executing local and regional hauls, including trips to southern Alberta
  • Loading and unloading hot asphalt oil
  • Planning and optimizing travel schedules and routes
  • Communicating with central dispatch and relaying critical information
  • Maintaining the condition of the vehicle and performing regular inspections

Requirements

  • Valid Class 1 Driver's License
  • Experience with tractor-trailer and flatbed operations

Working Conditions

  • Variable schedules, including 10-hour days during winter months and 12-hour days during summer months
  • Local Operator Engineers union membership

Documentation and Reporting

  • Accurate completion of driver logbooks, inspection reports, and maintenance records
