Job Summary

We are seeking a Class 1 Equipment Hauling Driver to join our team in Edmonton.

Responsibilities

  • Loading, chaining down, and transporting equipment on a low boy.
  • Hauling Super B trailers.
  • Local hauls and some hauls to southern Alberta.
  • Loading and unloading of hot asphalt oil.
  • Planning travel schedules and routes.
  • Receiving and relaying information to the central dispatcher.
  • Overseeing the condition of the vehicle and inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.

Qualifications

  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
  • Tractor Trailer; Flatbed experience.

Working Conditions

  • Winter months: 10-hour days, Monday to Saturday.
  • Summer months: variable hours, 12 days on, 2 days off.
  • Local Operator Engineers union.

Documentation Knowledge

  • Driver Logbook; Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip); Maintenance and repair reports; Trip reports; Accident or incident reports.

Pre-employment requirements

A pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol testing and a criminal record check, may be required.
