Energy Engineering Internship Opportunity

Resource Innovations is a leading energy transformation firm focused on impact. We're seeking a highly skilled and motivated Energy Engineering Intern to join our dynamic team in Toronto, ON.

About the Role

As an Energy Engineering Intern, you will provide technical support in the evaluation of demand side management (DSM) programs by analyzing program impacts and producing actionable recommendations. You will work closely with our team to conduct energy analyses, collect data, and develop reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct junior engineering and analysis support, including data collection, energy analyses, and project research.
  • Collect and analyze primary and secondary data to inform program evaluations.
  • Conduct evaluation, measurement, and verification (EM&V) activities for installed energy efficiency measures.
  • Support senior staff in developing technical reports, including results and actionable recommendations.
  • Assist with the development of presentations and reports.
Requirements
  • Be a current student registered in a post-secondary STEAM or business program in Canada.
  • Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person who has been granted refugee status in Canada.
  • Be legally entitled to work according to relevant provincial legislation and regulations.
  • Consent to release placement information to Electricity Human Resources Canada (EHRC) and the Government of Canada during and after the placement.
  • Have a strong interest in sustainability and a passion for making a meaningful impact on the environment.
Preferred Skills and Education
  • Experience or education in energy efficiency.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent writing, communication, and computer skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
