Position Overview

Key Responsibilities:

  • Possess a bachelor's degree in mechanical or integrated engineering from a recognized post-secondary institution.
  • Bring over 3 years of experience in relevant mechanical engineering roles.
  • Be registered or eligible for registration as an Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.) or Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with the appropriate regulatory body.
  • Demonstrate expertise in HVAC systems along with low carbon or district energy solutions.
  • Deliver feasibility assessments and comprehensive designs for renewable and high-efficiency energy technologies, including geoexchange, biomass, waste heat recovery, combined heat and power (CHP), and district heating/cooling systems.
  • Engage in specification development and review processes.
  • Provide detailed designs and evaluations of contemporary HVAC systems and process heating solutions, such as commercial hydronic heating and cooling systems, heat pumps, high-efficiency boilers, heat exchangers, and wastewater heating systems.
  • Possess knowledge of instrumentation and control systems, which would be beneficial.
  • Have working familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, hydraulic modeling software, and thermal stress analysis tools.
  • Exhibit a strong capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively, potentially leading project teams.
  • Show proficiency in navigating complex environments, managing multiple projects and client relationships.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, within a team context.
  • Be a committed team player with self-motivation.
  • Exhibit the ability and enthusiasm to attract clients and projects.
