Cancer Care Specialist Position Overview

As a renowned Cancer Care Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality cancer treatment and care to our patients at the Provincial Health Services Authority.

Salary: $250,000 - $400,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Medical Oncologist to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals. As a Medical Oncologist, you will be responsible for managing lung/head & neck and/or gastrointestinal malignancies, as well as supporting the activities of the Vancouver Medical Oncology Program and the UBC Medical Oncology Training Program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing quality cancer care to patients with lung/head & neck and/or gastrointestinal malignancies
  • Supporting the Vancouver Medical Oncology Program and the UBC Medical Oncology Training Program
  • Teaching postgraduate trainees and undergraduate medical students

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A certificate of Special Competence in Medical Oncology from the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada
  • Eligibility for licensing with the College of Physicians & Surgeons of British Columbia
  • Meet the requirements of credentialing by the Professional Advisory Committee of BC Cancer
  • Be eligible for a clinical appointment in the Division of Medical Oncology in the Department of Medicine at the University of British Columbia
  • Be eligible for a valid license to practice medicine in Canada
