About the Role

Hillel Ontario is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to serve as the Director of Education and Mobilization. This key leadership position will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive educational strategy to advance the organization's Israel and Jewish advocacy agenda.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a robust educational strategy to advance Hillel Ontario's Israel and Jewish advocacy agenda
  • Train and mentor campus-based junior advocacy professionals
  • Oversee a fellowship of student advocates who engage in training, joint learning, and events
  • Collaborate with other Jewish and/or Israel advocacy organizations to further Hillel's strategic advocacy objectives
  • Coordinate large-scale cross-campus initiatives, speakers, and opportunities
  • Provide training and education for staff and students on campus
  • Develop educational content for social media platforms
  • Coordinate immersive experiences to engage students in advocacy and Israel education

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant field of study (Master's preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience in a Jewish education role
  • 3+ years of experience with demonstrable leadership and mentorship
  • Sophisticated written and verbal communication skills

Abilities and Skills

  • Passion and knowledge of politics and advocacy
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment
  • Ability to multi-task and troubleshoot effectively under tight timelines
  • Knowledge and experience with network management, social networking, and social media
  • Strong writing skills
  • Ability to maintain clear thinking and calm during times of crisis
