Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced and passionate Strategic Leader to spearhead our efforts in integrating immigrants into the Canadian workforce. This role will involve developing and implementing innovative strategies, programs, and partnerships that promote market inclusion for diverse immigrant populations.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive strategy to enhance workforce integration for immigrants, encompassing research, advocacy, social enterprise initiatives, and program evaluation.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, employers, educational institutions, community organizations, and immigrant communities themselves.
  • Oversee the management of a team of professionals dedicated to workforce integration, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure high-performance outcomes.
  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis on labor market trends, policies, and best practices related to immigrant workforce inclusion.
  • Develop compelling proposals and reports to secure funding and resources for workforce integration initiatives.
  • Serve as a public spokesperson and advocate for policies that promote equitable opportunities for immigrants in the Canadian workforce.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or higher in Business Administration, Global Relations, Social Sciences, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of proven experience in social impact work, including advocacy, research, and social enterprise planning and evaluation.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing and leading teams effectively.
  • Demonstrated expertise in workforce development strategies, policies, and programs for immigrant integration (e.g., internationally educated professionals, international students, immigrant youth, employer engagement, skilled trades).
  • Proven ability to navigate complex stakeholder relationships and build consensus among diverse groups.
  • Exceptional organizational leadership and strategic planning skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience as a public spokesperson and advocate.
  • Strong project management abilities with the capacity to manage multiple strategic projects concurrently.
