Salary:
The successful candidate will receive a competitive compensation package, with a typical salary range of $55,000-$65,000 per annum. The starting salary will be based on the individual's competencies, experience, and internal pay structures.
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Assistant Manager, Public Safety & Guest Experience who possesses a passion for the events industry and the Pacific National Exhibition. This role will provide operational support to the Public Safety department, including scheduling and planning event-based operations and site security personnel.
The Assistant Manager will assist with interpreting, implementing, and maintaining policies, rules, and guidelines pertaining to the Public Safety Department. They will create schedules for the event and site security teams, directly manage physical security systems, and coordinate parking lot rentals.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 2+ years of previous operational experience, preferably in Public Safety or Guest Experience capacities
- Must have or be able to obtain within 6 months of employment, a valid BC Security Worker License
- Exceptional planning, organizational, communication, and administrative skills
- Ability to foster effective working relationships with peers, subordinates, and external contacts
- Comfortable with autonomy and working under pressure, with ability to meet multiple service demands simultaneously in a fast-paced work environment
- Must be available and willing to work a varied schedule that will at times include evenings and weekends
