About the Role

The First Nations Health Authority is seeking a skilled Community Health Nurse to join our team. As a Community Health Nurse, you will provide comprehensive nursing services to First Nations communities, promoting health, preventing disease, and protecting population health.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide core nursing functions and services in First Nations communities
  • Work independently and as a member of an interdisciplinary team
  • Focus on promoting health, preventing disease, and protecting population health
  • Travel to various communities across the province

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing
  • Current registration with British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
  • Current CPR course for Health Care Providers (HCP)
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's license
  • Understanding of First Nations cultural principles and protocols
  • Knowledge of nursing processes

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in public health, home care nursing, or community health
