About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Healthcare Advisor to join our team at the First Nations Health Authority. As a key member of our team, you will provide strategic advice and guidance to management, staff, and external partners to support the development and implementation of health programs and policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on health policy and program development, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Support the development and maintenance of functional strategies, programs, processes, and procedures that align with organizational needs and goals.
  • Conduct research, analysis, and prepare recommendations on complex issues, including political and community issues.
  • Develop and maintain effective and collaborative working relationships with First Nations communities, health associations, and government agencies.
  • Stay up-to-date with current health trends, research, and best practices to inform policy and program development.
Requirements
  • University degree in public health, health policy, or a related field, plus 4-6 years of relevant experience.
  • Significant experience in providing written advice, communication tools, briefings, or published papers.
  • Experience in project management, supporting projects and small teams.
  • Experience in research, report, and publications writing.
  • Experience with public health and policy is an asset.
  • Knowledge of the BC First Nations Health Governance Structure, Tripartite agreements, and processes is an asset.
