$70,000 - $90,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic Specialist to join our team in Kamloops, BC. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our fleet of heavy-duty equipment is up and running smoothly. Your duties will include:

  • Maintenance and repairs of diesel, CNG, gas, and electrically operated trucks as well as associated heavy duty equipment
  • Using various power tools, hand instruments, and cutting-edge equipment
  • Completing daily reports, work orders, and ordering necessary parts
  • Planning and scheduling repairs in M5 planner and procuring parts
  • Assisting in the review of mechanical write-ups and coordinating repair schedules
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A high school diploma or general education degree (GED); technical diploma desired
  • Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic certified or 4th year Apprentice Heavy Duty Mechanic
  • Relevant criteria for safety-sensitive functions according to Company standards
  • The ability to follow detailed instructions, work independently, and maintain accurate records
  • The willingness to operate any vehicle or equipment necessary to perform job
  • The physical ability to exert effort including pushing, pulling, bending, and lifting items up to 100 lbs
  • Fine motor coordination with arm, hand, finger, and leg dexterity
  • The ability to kneel, crawl, and climb
