About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Inclusion and Diversity Leader to join our team in the Americas. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in executing our Global Inclusion and Diversity strategy within the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and guidance to Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) to ensure they are executing activities in alignment with our overall Inclusion and Diversity strategy.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and key resource for advice, consultation, and execution of initiatives related to diversity, inclusiveness, belonging, and equity across the Americas.
  • Be a central point of contact for key stakeholders regarding Inclusion and Diversity for the Americas and work closely with the Global Inclusion and Diversity Leader to ensure greater consistency and sharing of best practices across the enterprise.
  • Organize and lead the Americas Inclusion and Diversity Committee and support the Global Inclusion and Diversity Council representatives in local efforts as required.
  • Develop and design Inclusion and Diversity learning programs as necessary.
  • Serve as a diversity liaison for compliance-related projects and reports.
  • Represent GHD as the subject matter expert on diversity, inclusiveness, belonging, and equity within and outside the firm.
  • Identify and consult with relevant stakeholders on external strategic sponsorships and partnerships.
  • Monitor performance metrics and keep the Global Inclusion and Diversity Leader, Americas Inclusion and Diversity Committee, and Americas leadership informed of progress.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Advanced degree a plus.
  • Proven expertise in leading successful diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts in a fast-paced matrixed global organization.
  • Knowledge of external best practices in the area of diversity, equity, inclusion, and/or social justice.
  • A consulting and data-driven mindset with the ability to balance regional and global needs and influence and collaborate with a diverse set of stakeholders.
  • Experience working with ERGs and across various dimensions of diversity.
  • Ability to prepare and facilitate senior-level discussions related to highly sensitive topics to achieve progress and gain support and buy-in.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to influence and display empathy.
  • A passion for and experience in improving key metrics related to inclusion and diversity.
  • Demonstrated interest or experience in understanding different cultures and work environments.
  • Experience working virtually and across various time zones when required to meet project/team needs.
